Global Transaction Banking

Vancouver October 2005

  

On 24 and 25 October 2005, in Vancouver BC, Jon Theuerkauf's (JET) HSBC Global Transaction Banking Black Belt Class will participate in a unique organization-building event. This program will draw the HSBC participants "out of their comfort zone" in order to:

- Facilitate individual and team development.

- Develop strong communication skills.

- Effectively engage problem-solving under pressure.

Over the course of this fun and challenging 1 1/2 day event, the HSBC participants will test the limits of their physical, intellectual and leadership capabilities. The HSBC teammate should expect to conclude the course invigorated with confidence, enthusiasm and the HSBC team spirit.

Aircraft Down! An enlightening and fun exercise that will inspire discussion and debrief opportunities. The scenario is based around a fictitious small civilian aircraft crash and the decisions that ensue.
Trickle Up & VOICE of

Leadership Presentation

A presentation outlining personal leadership and teaming imperatives and skills. This module will display how basic USMC leadership fundamentals can be applied to the business world of HSBC. The Combat Ops Network facilitators will lead a discussion that will show HSBC GTB teammates how to demonstrate leadership and how to effectively apply it at work using the CombatOps V.O.I.C.E. technique.
P.I.E.-Process Improvement Exercise In real-time, see the value of clearly articulating your plan and then leading your team through an ever tightening process. FUN and INTERACTIVE.
FTX Sand Table Exercise Prepare and rehearse for the FTX on day 2.
FTX - Field Training Exercise This demanding outdoor exercise will emphasize communication, leadership, and teamwork. With some Combat Ops Network help, this operation will be planned and executed by the HSBC GTB team leaders. Team members will be talking about this exercise for years to come.
